How to grow a flower: step by step instructions

Landing

Landing work can be carried out in spring or autumn, following the following procedure:

  1. Dig a rounded pit, the diameter of which is 40-50 cm. Its depth should not exceed the height of the root system.
  2. Loosen the bottom of the pit with a pitchfork. Combine the soil that remains after digging the landing pit with compost in a 3: 1 ratio. Also add a handful of ash.
  3. Dissolve 1 tablet of heteroauxin in 10 l of water and pour the resulting solution into a pit.
  4. Plant a seedling in a pit, sprinkle with earth to the root neck and tamp.

Care

Conditions of detention:

  • A place. Rosa Coco Lolo prefer to grow in a place protected from the wind and direct sunlight. The groundwater level should be above 75-100 cm from the soil surface, since the root system of the flower penetrates to a depth of 1 m.
  • Temperature. The optimum temperature for the rose remains 23-25 degrees. the variety is not frost-resistant, therefore it is able to withstand -15 - -17 degrees.
  • Humidity. The rose does not have special requirements for humidity, but it is not recommended to spray the bush.
  • Lighting. For the Coco Lolo rose, you need to choose a well-lit area, but in the daytime, scorching sunshine should be absent.
  • Watering. Humidification should be moderate. Water the flower intensively only in early spring, when the leaves begin to bloom, shoots appear and buds are poured. Also, more water will be needed after flowering, as the bush is gaining a new color.

Use for irrigation need only settled water.

  • Top dressing. Rosa Coco Lolo responds positively to fertilizer application. Mineral and organic can be used, but it is best to use combined formulations designed for roses. Feeding is carried out in 2 stages: the first - at the end of April - May in central Russia, the second - in July.
  • Pruning. The basic rule of pruning is the use of sharp and sanitized tools. It must be performed in early spring, the buds are swollen, and the leaves have not yet blossomed. Cropping Features:

    1. To perform a cut at an angle of 45 degrees. To begin with, to free the base of the bush from the soil, dead shoots are removed, so they have to be cut to healthy tissue. Similarly, proceed to those shoots that were formed below the vaccination site.
    2. Weak and damaged processes, as well as those that are directed inside the bush, must also be trimmed.
    3. Every year, you need to remove old shoots, in which growth practically stops or they do not develop.
    4. In total, 3-5 healthy and young shoots should remain at the bush. Trim them 1/3 of the length, leaving 3-4 live kidneys.
    5. All places of cuts must be treated with crushed coal.
  • Transfer. It must be carried out in the spring, observing the following recommendations:

    1. Before transplanting, you need to trim the bush by 20 cm, eliminating all weak or damaged branches, pick existing leaves.
    2. Carefully remove the plant from the old pit, clean the roots from the ground. If in the process of digging up roses the peripheral roots will be damaged, then there is nothing to worry about, because after transplanting they will quickly recover.
    3. Add water to the prepared hole, and when it is absorbed, install a bush.
    4. The vaccination should be under the ground at a depth of 3-5 cm.
    5. Cover with earth, tamp and lay a layer of mulch.

Prevention of insects and various diseases

The following preventative measures must be taken to protect Coco Lolo roses from disease.:

  1. Trim and destroy weak, diseased shoots, dried leaves and other plant debris that may contain pathogenic fungi and bacteria.
  2. To prevent the development of diseases, it is necessary to carry out treatment with chemical and biological preparations of a wide spectrum of action: Alirin-B, Skor, Topaz.
  3. From time to time, inspect rose bushes in order to suspect the disease in time and prevent its spread to other plants.

The neglected form of the disease is difficult to treat, it can cause the death of the rose.

  4. Do not fertilize in high concentration. This applies to nitrogen compounds, which in the second half of the summer should be completely eliminated.
  5. Feed with potassium and phosphorus, as they increase disease resistance.

Breeding

Rosa Coco Lolo propagated by seeds and cuttings, but it is the latter method, because of the simplicity and speed that flower growers often use. Procedure:

  1. You need to cut lignified or semi-lignified cuttings in the period when the first flowers are formed. Too dry or still green plants are not suitable for propagation.
  2. The length of the handle should be 8 cm, and the thickness - with a pencil.
  3. On top of the rose you need to cut 0.5 cm above the kidney, and below - under the bud. The top cut should be straight and the bottom cut at an angle of 45 degrees.
  4. Only 2 top leaves should remain on the handle.
  5. The spikes on the bottom also need to be removed.
  6. Process the lower section with phytohormones.
  7. Plant cuttings in a hole with sand to a depth of 15 cm.
  8. If there are several plants, then a distance of 20-30 cm should be observed between them. Tamp the sand a little, and build a mini-greenhouse over the plant.
  9. Make holes in the film so that the cuttings can breathe.

Diseases and Pests

In the absence of proper care of the plant, it can affect:

  • Powdery mildew. A specific white coating forms on the plant, and after maturation of the spores, water droplets form on the surface.
  • Rust. Numerous spots of a reddish hue are characteristic of this disease. If processing is not done on time, then they will cover the entire bush.
  • Black spotting. It can be determined by the presence of dark brown spots with scorched edges.
  • Aphid. This parasite sucks the juice from the plant, as a result of which the leaves dry and fall.
The methods of treatment depend on the type of disease. For example, these diseases are of fungal origin. To save the plant, it is necessary to timely remove and burn damaged shoots, dry leaves. Fungicides are used for processing.

Common breeding errors

When growing Coco Lolo roses, flower growers make the following mistakes:

  1. Do not choose the right place. If the site is in the shade, and the soil has high humidity, then the bush may die.
  2. Incorrect planting of a rose. If the place of grafting turned out to be underground, then the root neck will vytryvat, and the plant will die.
  3. Incorrect feeding. If you fertilize too often, the roses will die.
  4. Improper preparation for the winter. You can’t cut branches too short, leave them with leaves, feed them with nitrogen.

Rosa Coco Lolo is a picky plant that is grown on flower beds in combination with other ornamental crops. It’s easy to take care of the bush, which allows even a novice to create an original flowerbed.
